Making A Difference Charity

Last month we had a change of President and we would like to thank Kevin McAlister for his time and effort over the past few years. Our new President is Paul Smith and we welcome him and thank him for stepping into this vital role. We also thank Martin Lawford for his time and effort as our Treasurer, who has also has had to step down. His role will be taken over by Anne Bennett, our current Secretary.
We have made several donations over the past months. Firstly, to ASPADEM, a Spanish Association who help children and young adults with disabilities and learning difficulties. They are based in the Puerto de Mazarrón and we donated 2000€. Also last month we made a donation of a further 2000€ to MABS, the charity who help people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their families. We were also able to donate some games and books to the Francisco Capparo School situated in Mazarrón town. These donations are only possible because of our supporters who donate articles for us to sell in our shop in the Puerto de Mazarrón and all our volunteers who give their time and effort.
We would like to thank Anne Blandford, one of our previous Presidents who has pledged to donate 50€ a month to us.

Our shop will be closed for the whole of August, our last day of opening beforehand will be Saturday 26th July. We re-open to our normal hours of Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays as from Tuesday 2nd September.
We continue to make a donation of food to the San Jose foodbank throughout the summer months and we thank Alen whose family runs the food shop on Urbanisation Camposol Sector A who supply the food we donate to church.
