We are now going into a New Year and let us hope it will be as much a success as last year. We were able to donate the sum of 13,535€ last year to many charities, both British and Spanish, who provide help and aid to families and individual people in our area. We have also provided funds to schools enabling them to complete projects and we continue to provide food donations to the San Jose Church for their Food Bank based in Puerto de Mazarrón.
We have made a recent donation of 2000€ to the charity Forget me Not who provide respite time for families looking after loved ones who have to receive full time care for various reasons. We have also donated 1000€ to The Royal British Legion who provide help to Ex Service men and women. We have also donated various walking aids to the Day Centre in Mazarrón town, these had been donated to us and so we have been able to pass these on to those who most need them.
We have recently received 700€, given to us from an event held by Costa Calida Cruisers, a local motorbike enthusiasts group, so we would like to thank them for their generosity.
We can only achieve our aim of Making A Difference to people in our area because of the continued help from our supporters and team of volunteers who give the charity their time and effort. If you would like to join our team of volunteers either in our shop in Puerto de Mazarrón or perhaps helping on the van for pickups and deliveries, please call 603 389 006.
Our van will be at Urbanization Camposol Sector A Commercial Centre on the 1st Tuesday of every month to receive any donations, together with a pop-up shop by the van with some of our quality clothing items, boots, shoes and handbags which have been kindly donated. Alens shop on Camposol A is also a point to bring any small donations you wish to give. Any large items can be arranged to be picked up from your home by calling us on 603 389 006.
